Restore and Upgrade Samsung Android Smartphones

On this page, I will show you how to restore and also upgrade Samsung Android smartphones without having need to go to service center and also can help save you some money.
Most people did not know this easiest way can restore their Samsung Android smartphone to original default settings, the settings that came to you when you bought the phone from the retail or online store.
This only applies to a few Samsung Android smartphones that support initialising such as Galaxy S4, S5, S6, S7, Galaxy Note 4, Note 5, a few A and J series that were broken mostly from improper software update, battery out of juice during software update, incorrect software installed on phone, full storage during software update and more.

*Please take a note that I do not take any responsibilities if your phone already dead and try to revive it using this way, microUSB cable detached by itself or by yourself during initialising, something happens to your computer while upgrading and initialising your phone or you did not follow the step correctly and caused the phone to be dead or hard bricked.

First, make sure your phone have 80% battery or charge it to full, or your phone will be dead forever, and a cable to connect your phone to computer. In this guide, I will use a Windows computer.

Second, download SmartSwitch or Kies3 depending on your phone. If it's S4, then it would be Kies3, and if it's a Note 5 or S6, or newer than this then use SmartSwitch. Download the software here:

Third, install the software. Just click next, and next, and next and wait until it finished installing.

Fourth, ready your phone. Make sure your phone is completely off and if your phone does have removable battery then check the battery compartment for serial number and model, and write that down on paper or something and put the battery back in. If your phone has unremovable battery then check on the back of your phone, write down serial number and model number.

Fifth, use this trick to enter download mode:  hold volume down + hold home button + hold power button. As soon it booted up to logo, just release power button but hold volume down + hold home button. When it ask you to cancel or continue, choose continue by pressing corresponding volume button as shown on your screen.

Sixth, run SmartSwitch or Kies3, and go to
Kies3 > Tools > Firmware Upgrade and Initialisation
SmartSwitch > Emergency software recovery and initialization > Device initialization

Kies 3

SmartSwitch

Seventh, input the model number and serial number. You must input the model number correctly with correct caps and then you can input the serial number also with correct caps, and next.

Eighth, connect your phone to computer and let it install drivers for your phone.

Ninth, read and follow on screen instruction, don't miss a thing and leave your phone alone until it finished.

If your phone booted up, congratulation! You followed the steps correctly. Enjoy your 'new' phone! If your phone not booting up, boot loop or something else, I am sorry for that if you followed this step correctly then it must be your internal hardware of your phone problem, to the service center then.

Have a good day.
